The Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) is designed to improve student academic support of first-generation, limited-income, and educationally disadvantaged students. The program provides admission, academic, and financial assistance to EOP-eligible undergraduate students considered California residents or AB540 students.

History

The Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) was created in the late 1960’s through legislation in response to economic and social barriers that prevented underrepresented, first-generation, and limited income students from attaining a college education.

Clark 100H Meeting Room (Fishbowl) Reservation

The Clark 100H Meeting Room (Fishbowl) is designated as a quiet meeting space, and reservations are available to SJSU Departments and Centers, and recognized SJSU Student Organizations. 

Outreach

EOP provides presentations to groups of prospective students (K-12, community college students, educational, and community based programs) who have an interest in learning about EOP services at SJSU, EOP eligibility and the application process.
