I've been teaching at San Jose State for several years. I started with technical writing courses in Professional Development, which was an independent extension of the main campus but was shut down a few years ago.

I started my career working as a full-time technical writer. I still do part-time contract writing and editing; email me if you are interested.

In 1998, I returned to school. I earned my FAA-approved certificate for aircraft maintanance (A&P). I was lucky to get through this program before it was dismantled. SJSU is the only 4-year public school in the western US with a full aviation program. I am also a coach and advisor for the SJSU Precision Flight Team and the student chapter of Women in Aviation.
