Chloropleth Mapping

Chloropleth mapping is the display of quantitative or qualitative information about the subentities of a map in terms of symbols or colors. Such visual display of information is a highly efficient method for conveying information. Regional correlations are easily seen in such a display, especially if the color codes represent a gradient of colors.
