Ceremony Registration / RSVP

The ceremony registration/RSVP to walk in your ceremony is different than the graduation application. Find out more about this on our FAQ page.

The Fall 2023 ceremony registration/RSVP has been emailed to eligible students. If you believe you have been missed, please email us at commencement@sjsu.edu

Emails were sent to each students' "Preferred Email Address" on file with the University, with a unique registration link for their ceremony once the link is active.

Check our Communications Archive for all messages that have been sent to students.

Guest Tickets

Each registered student may claim six (6) complimentary guest tickets* after they have registered for their ceremony. If a student is removed from the ceremony for any reason, their guest tickets are also voided. Tickets are only valid for the ceremony that is listed on the guest ticket.

If additional tickets are determined to be available, an announcement will be sent to registered students with instructions for claiming their additional guest ticket(s). Additional tickets being released is not gauranteed to occur.

*Guest tickets are not required for participating graduates. Guest tickets are required for all guests age three (3) and up. Guest ticket allowance is subject to change based on capacity, CDC, state and county health guidelines.
