Student-Faculty Partnership

Through the generous contributions of supporters, foundations and alumni the Department of Economics is able to offer the Student-Faculty Partnership (SFP) program. This program matches students with faculty mentors to engage in research or teaching projects.

Students whose applications are accepted will be hired as hourly Research Assistants (RA), or Instructional Student Assistants (ISA). The SFP program also rewards students for developing innovative research ideas, by offering monetary awards for excellent working papers describing the SFP project.

Apply for the SFP Program

Start by finding an Econ faculty member to work with, you may email instructors teaching courses you are interested in to see if they can work with you. For advice on finding a faculty mentor, email the Department Chair.

Students should complete the Student-Faculty Partnership Team and Project Proposal [pdf] form in collaboration with their faculty mentor, you will save and upload the form to the Google Form application.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
