SUMMARY
I have worked in secondary schools and universities for over 30
years. I currently am serving as Associate Dean of the College of
Applied Sciences and Arts, San Jose State Unviersity. My professional
experience includes administration (chair of Department of Human
Performance), research (e.g., publications and presentations at
professional conferences); teaching physical activity, general
education, undergraduate and graduate theory courses; directing an
employee fitness program; directing the Sport and Fitness Program of
the Physical Performance Institute; consulting in fitness;
professional presentations and publications; directing graduate
thesis projects; directing the Human Performance Exercise Physiology
Laboratory; and serving on committees at all levels (department,
college, and university).

I have authored or co-authored 1 book (Fitness Survival Guide), 1
book chapter, 11 scholarly papers and 30 scholarly presentations (at
local, national, and international professional conferences. And I
have made 28 professional presentations. In addition, I have given
talks to a variety of groups on several topics including fitness for
women, nutrition for sport and exercise, and guidelines for
