Class
- Hand in your one to two page
topic abstract as specified in the 10/20 handout
- Present your research idea. Each student will have
4 minutes to present their idea. A 4 minute discussion
will follow for comments by peers & Dr. G.
- Dr. G will grade the
abstract, its presentation, and comments made to help other students. A 10
point scale will be used where 10 = A+, 9 = A-, and so on. Here are the
grading criteria:
- Evidence of having
completed the background reading
- Content, organization,
clarity of expression, syntax, spelling, grammar, proper referencing (APA)
- Following the
directions on the 10/20 handout
HW
Do a
Wikipedia
search on your topic. Learn about the specifics about the pathophysiology
and epidemiology of your topic. (We will hold off on the
PubMed
search on for now. Refine your research abstract
based on this additional research and presented this in class next week.
