SYNOPSIS
The Loving Tree is a three-act musical drama that spans the years 1956 to 1994. It is the story of a British-Slovenian couple who emigrate with their three young children from England to California in the wake of a secret marital infidelity. Manic-depression afflicts the father and daughter, relationship problems are rife, as are alcoholism, poverty, divorce, and childlessness. As the characters discover themselves, the forces that act to shatter the family are countered only by an unexpected resilience in the bond itself.
