A few days ago I was at a Kaiser Hospital and was approached by a frail looking elderly couple. The wife asked me if I could tell them the way to the emergency room. I could have given them directions but realized that they probably had gotten lost trying to follow some previous directions so I decided that I better lead them to the emergency room. I walked faster than they did and had constantly to turn around to wait for them. Each time as I turned around I feared that I would find that the husband had collapsed. But we made it outside of the building to where the entrance to the emergency room is located. As I pointed out the door they should enter the husband said to me, "Oh we don't want to go into the emergency room; we just noted that we parked our car in the garage across the street from the emergency room. Now we can find our car alright."
