Past Programs

Family Wellness Fair

Family Wellness Programs included students from Child and Adolescent Development, Psychology, and Communicative Disorders & Sciences celebrating Better Speech & Hearing Month and Mental Health Awareness Month. Family resources and activities in English, Spanish, and Vietnamese addressed a variety of topics including healthy speech and hearing, mental health, and positive strategies for socioemotional development and family wellness. 

Early Childhood Storytime

Early Childhood Storytime featured a book reading of ‘Frustrated Frida' written by Dr. Janet Bang from SJSU’s Department of Child and Adolescent Development. The event focused on pre-literacy and socioemotional skill development for early childhood. SJSU’s Early Childhood Institute (ECI) and Early Childhood Student-Alumni Network (ESAN) co-sponsored the event with activities in English and Spanish led by students in the Departments of Psychology, Communicative Disorders & Sciences, and Child and Adolescent Development.
