Summer in Silicon Valley
Experience design, innovation, and entrepreneurship in the heart of Silicon Valley.
Offered in collaboration with the College of Professional and Global Education, Summer
in Silicon Valley (SSV) is for international undergraduate students interested in
gaining experience in innovative design and technology in the heart of global innovation.
This program is perfect for students who want to have hands-on experience solving
technological problems, all while using some of the most cutting-edge innovations
available in Silicon Valley.
Program features
- Attend lectures and workshops by industry experts from Silicon Valley
- Participate in team activities
- Work on projects with assigned SJSU student team member or mentor
- Visit Silicon Valley hotspots and companies through fun field trips
- Participate in a competitive culminating project
- Receive a Certificate of Completion at the end of the program

Who Can Participate
Summer in Silicon Valley is designed for undergraduate students interested in developing their entrepreneurship and design thinking skills. Students must be at least 18 years of age and have a working knowledge of English (CEFR B1/B2). The program is geared towards participants who are motivated to learn, open to different ideas, and seeking new experiences.
Program Cost
Cost: $6500 USD
Price includes program materials, on-campus housing, breakfast and lunch Monday through Friday, and transportation for field trips and excursions.
