Annette Nellen, chair of the Academic Senate, reports that at its meeting this afternoon, from 2 to 5 p.m. in Engineering 285, the senate will discuss a sense-of-the-senate resolution to endorse the vision and goals developed by the Goals Advisory Council and shared last month at two strategic planning forums. Resolutions to establish a task force to explore the benefits and issues of having students use electronic portfolios to display and integrate coursework, and another that calls for the creation of a Heritage, Preservation and Public History Committee will also be discussed.
