Annette Nellen, chair of the Academic Senate, reports that at its meeting today (from 2 to 5 p.m. in Engineering 285-287), the senate will consider: a special election to elect a new vice chair; a report from the Task Force on Intercollegiate Athletics; and a report from Faculty Affairs on recruitment, hiring and retention of faculty in various demographic groups as called for by SS-S03-5. There will also be a final reading of a resolution to make the Resource Planning Board a permanent part of the new strategic planning structure. Agenda items also include: a final reading of the proposed green sheet policy from the Instruction and Student Affairs Committee; a resolution to change the add and drop dates; and a first reading of a resolution to modify F90-4 on review of department chairs.
