Four senior hospitality management students and their advisor, Kate Sullivan, worked at SEMICON West, one of the world's largest semiconductor trade shows, which was held recently at Moscone Center in San Francisco. More than 1,200 booths and 35,000 international attendees participated in this annual event. According to Sullivan, the students helped assign booths for next year's show. They learned booth design and selection and handled the financial payment from more than 1,000 companies that reserved spaces for the show. Says Sullivan, "It was a successful four days since 88 percent of the convention was rebooked for next year." In addition, Sullivan and her students also assisted at EBAY Live, an annual national convention, which was held at the San José McEnery Convention Center in June.
