The California State University announced that the House and Senate conferees recently approved the final version of HR 2862, which covers federal science, state, justice and commerce programs. San Jos?? State is one of seven CSU campuses which will benefit from the bill. It provides $2.5 million through the national Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to continue funding the CSU's Center for Integrative Coastal Observation, Research and Education. CICORE provides real-time access to extensive near-shore environmental data for integration into state, national and global ocean monitoring and research efforts. See CSULeader.
