At the Academic Senate meeting today, Sally Veregge, chair of the senate, reports that the senate will hear the Annual Budget Report, and the final reading of a policy on final exams and another on posting the grade distributions for classes. At its last meeting, the senate heard a first reading of a recommendation to significantly revise its policy on the Criteria for Appointment, Retention, Tenure, and Promotion of faculty employees. The senate also selected diversity as the university's "shared value" for the campus to focus on for the 2006/07 academic year.
