At today's meeting of the Academic Senate, from 2 to 5 p.m. in Engineering 285/287, student organizations will be discussed, reports Sally Veregge, chair. While SJSU has 250 student organizations, less than half have advisors. Beginning in August 2006, organizations without advisors will be unable to register to be recognized by SJSU. Other topics on the agenda include: final exams; professional development plans; dossier guidelines; fingerprinting new employees; merging, dividing, transferring and eliminating academic departments; and the university library board.
