Associated Students' Transportation Solutions department has won a Sustainable Transportation Project Award. The competition ??? organized by the UC president's office and open to all UC and CSU campuses ??? sought to recognize best practices in sustainable transportation. SJSU's Transit Locator program won the demand management category for reducing the number of solo drivers to campus. The program uses a geographic information system and other computer applications to provide information for targeted marketing of alternative transportation, said Eyedin Zonobi, Transportation Solutions manager. SJSU has been invited to share the program's details at the 2006 Sustainability Conference in late June at UC Santa Barbara. Read more.
