As the countdown to ZeroOne San Jos?? continues, the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Library is finalizing plans to participate in this media arts festival, which runs August 7-13 in downtown San Jos??. King will host the Pacific Rim New Media Summit, an academic conference starting Monday, August 7. The library will also serve as the venue for "SPECFLIC," an interactive film on the future of libraries. Performances will be taped inside King ahead of time, and on Wednesday, August 9, the interactive "story-event" will be projected onto the exterior of the library on the campus side of the building. SPECFLIC will portray characters in a future library in simultaneous story-layers that provoke the audience to consider the future of reading, writing and storytelling. The audience can interact with the story at stations that will be set up just outside King's campus entrance. ZeroOne San Jos?? is part of the Beyond Martin Luther King collaboration between San Jos?? State and the city of San Jos??. Read more.
