The Academic Senate will meet at 2 p.m. today in Engineering 285/87. The RTP (retention, tenure and promotion) policy will be discussed and the Student Evaluation Review Board will present information on online SOTEs (Student Evaluations of Teaching Effectiveness), said Professor of Elementary Education and Academic Senate Chair Judith Lessow-Hurley. She also reported a strong response to the Academic Senate's National Constitution Day event. On Monday, September 18, campus community members took turns reading aloud the full text of the Constitution outside the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Library. "We had a successful event with 13 readers and gave away almost 100 copies of the U.S. Constitution," she said. Read more about today's meeting.
