"Drifting Elegant," a film directed by SJSU Professor Amy Glazer, will be featured in good company this week at the Mill Valley Film Festival. Hollywood stars Billy Bob Thornton, Russell Crowe and Gwyneth Paltrow appear in other festival films. Glazer's film stars SJSU alumnus Coby Bell, whose credits include the television series "Third Watch." In "Drifting Elegant," a journalist's life is turned upside down when he covers a story involving an Arab-American accused of rape, reports Professor Scott Sublett, a colleague of Glazer's in the Department of Television, Radio, Film and Theatre. The film was produced by South Bay Film Studios, which SJSU founded to provide students with hands-on experience in film production.
