SJSU is home to the nation's largest library and information science e-learning program, according to a story in the October 16 issue of U.S. News and World Report. The piece notes 1,400 students are enrolled in SJSU's online library science classes, making SJSU's program nearly twice the size of second place University of South Florida. SJSU also offers technical help 15 hours daily, limits classes to 25 students, and charges just $349 per credit hour. Ken Haycock, the School of Library and Information Science's director, said the first place ranking "is important because it means we are attracting students nationally.
