A camera crew captured the moment three SJSU advertising students learned they were semi-finalists in the Chevy Super Bowl College Ad Challenge. A reality show based on their experiences, including a recent weekend spent in Detroit pitching their idea to corporate executives, will debut this month on CBS.com. But the network will wait until Super Bowl 2007 to announce the winner of the competition, which invited students nationwide to submit their ideas for a 30-second, $2 million Chevy spot. SJSU's Anna Pogosova, LouLou Quintela and Kelly Sherman are competing against semi-finalists from four other colleges and universities. They will also appear on a pre-game special on the all-time best Super Bowl ads. Lilly Buchwitz, the team's advisor and an SJSU assistant professor of journalism and mass communications, is tracking their experiences on her blog. More.
