SJSU student films took top honors at the Campus MovieFest Bay Area Grand Finale held October 20 at downtown San Jos??'s California Theatre. "Chicken Strip Jeff" received the TCM Classic Short Film Award. Robbie Benson, Jeffrey Benson, Robert Krakower and Jonathan Magram produced the film, which will be aired on the Turner Classic Movies channel in spring 2007. In addition, SJSU's "The Inside Scoop" received the Golden Tripod Award and "One Eighty One: A Chronicle of Life and Death" won for Best Special Effects. SJSU, Santa Clara University, Sonoma State University, Stanford University and University of California-Berkeley participated in the competition. Campus MovieFest, an Atlanta-based organization, gave student teams one week to produce five-minute films using borrowed equipment. Get more information and view the winners.
