In an annual national competition for the Financial Management Association's 220 student chapters, SJSU took first place for membership development and second for National Honor Society members. SJSU was also named a superior chapter and SJSU Professor Bill DeVincenzi was honored as a superior faculty advisor. The SJSU chapter is the only one in the nation to win all these awards simultaneously. The chapter's student leaders include President Tiffanie Craig and Vice President of Membership Roger Mendoza.
