Mike Adams, chair of the Department of Television, Radio, Film and Theatre, welcomes to campus this week two faculty members from the Shanghai Theatre Academy's School of Television Arts. Adams, who taught broadcast history at the academy last fall, plans to work with professors Honglin Wu and Miaojing Liao on a cooperative film/television project including student and faculty exchanges. Professor Wu is the academy's foremost teacher of TV hosting, a popular major in Chinese radio, television and film programs. Wu and Liao join Hu Zou, a technical theatre faculty member from Shanghai on campus this term to design SJSU's final stage play of the season, "Big Love."Guna Selvaduray, a chemical and materials engineering professor, reports that alumna Roxanne Zarnaghi will speak this week at a meeting of the International Microelectronics and Packaging Society, Northern California chapter. Her speech is titled, "Black Magic in Rainbow Colors! How Electromagnetic Simulation Tools Can Help Engineers Extract a Package Model." Zarnaghi received a master's from SJSU in 2005 and now works as a consultant for Silicon Valley businesses. More.
