Associated Students President Benjamin Henderson was among 28 student leaders who participated in the Leon and Sylvia Panetta Institute for Public Policy's Eighth Annual Student Leadership Seminar last week at CSU Monterey Bay in Seaside. The seminar seeks "to teach student body presidents and other campus leaders the essential skills and strategies of leadership and to find ways to re-engage young men and women in the nation's political life," according to the institute's Web site. Speakers included former U.S. Transportation Secretary Norm Mineta, Haas School of Business Dean and former Congressman Tom Campbell and former Secretary of State Bruce McPherson. Established in 1998, the Panetta Institute is located at CSU Monterey Bay and serves the entire CSU system. More.
