Beginning today, Homecoming 2007 will offer a full week of events including an Alumni Association's scholarship reception at 4 p.m. Tuesday in King Library and the Associated Students' first ever Fire on the Fountain at 7 p.m. Thursday on Tower Lawn. Expect live music and, at 8:30 p.m., a pep rally featuring the team and a spectacular propane-powered bonfire. Admission is free, with food sales benefiting St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital and SJSU organizations. The following night, the SJSU Event Center doors open at 7 p.m. for Campus MovieFest, a film festival featuring five-minute flicks by SJSU students. Saturday is packed with the Alumni College, 150th tailgate party, the game, and an elaborate halftime show with football greats from the 1940s to today followed by pyrotechnics and the unfurling of a giant 150th anniversary banner.
