"We have a great environment here for student life: exciting research, a vibrant community which is the Silicon Valley, convenient living accommodations and many activities sponsored by the various student programs here at Ames. It is a great setting for growth and self-discovery," Batalha says in the NASA newsletter.
Another full page was devoted to the Next Generation Air Traffic System, including a project headed by SJSU researchers Thomas Prevot and Vernol Battiste. Both recently traveled to Washington, D.C., to demonstrate their Trajectory Oriented Operations with Limited Delegation (TOOWiLD) concept for congressmen and senators.
