Hundreds of thousands of books that fell when an earthquake rocked King Library last week have been restored to their shelves. Reflecting the partnership that developed and now manages King Library, city and university employees worked together reshelving materials though most items were from the university collection. Carl Guardino, Silicon Valley Leadership Group CEO, will deliver the next Global Leadership Lecture sponsored by the Lucas Graduate School of Business. Guardino will discuss "Turning Silicon Valley into Solar Valley: How Silicon Valley Continues to Reinvent Itself" at 6 p.m. Monday, November 5, in the Barrett Ballroom. Also, Donald and Sally Lucas joined SJSU administration, faculty and staff on Friday, November 2, to celebrate the installation of a sign on the Business Tower reflecting the graduate school's new name. San Jos?? State alumni, the Lucases gave $10 million to the college in 2006, the first in a series of record-breaking gifts to the university. Read more.
