San José State will be well represented at the 2008 Democratic National Convention in Denver. With 500 members, the California delegation is the nation's largest. The group includes several dozen Santa Clara County residents. Do you know an SJSU student, graduate or employee attending the conventions? Please let us know and, with their permission, we'll add their names to the following list.

  • Congressman Mike Honda, an SJSU alumnus, will address the convention on Tuesday, August 26.
  • San José State graduates Cindy Chavez and Edesa Bitabadel are members of the California delegation.
  • Political Science Professor Terry Christensen is covering the convention for San José news radio station KLIV.
  • Political Science Professor Larry Gerston is covering the convention for Bay Area NBC affiliate KNTV.
  • Sociology Associate Professor Scott Myers-Lipton and students Roberto Garcia-Ceballos, Latu Tapaatoutai and Joshua Barousse are in Denver representing the Gulf Coast Civic Works Project.
