President Whitmore wants you to complete a survey on the university's future. Answers will be used for the strategic planning process. Here's how he described the effort in an e-mail to campus community members.
"San José State's rich history as the oldest public institution of higher education on the West Coast distinguishes us from other universities. Your collective accomplishments in recent years suggest an even brighter future, one that we can build together. To that end, it is crucial that every member of the greater San José State community has an opportunity to participate in shaping our future ... This vision of the future, of what we aspire to be, requires your ideas, energies and experiences. Please [take the survey] to provide your thoughts about the future of San José State and to tell us how you envision the course our university should chart."
