Attention English majors: If you prefer, you too can work for Google and Intel. Both companies will be represented at an SJSU Creative Writing Week career fair slated for noon to 5 p.m. Wednesday, November 12, in the Student Union's Umunhum Room. San José State's Department of English and Comparative Literature is sponsoring the week to highlight the launch of its new bachelor's degree with an emphasis in creative writing.

Also, Terrence McNally, playwright for "Kiss of the Spider Woman," "Ragtime" and "Dead Man Walking," will appear twice on Wednesday, November 19 at the University Theatre. The 2008 Martha Heasley Cox Lecturer, McNally will be in conversation at 1:30 p.m. and deliver a lecture at 7:30 p.m. Both talks are free and open to the public.
