Many media outlets including CNN, NBC, KTVU and the San Jose Mercury News covered a San José State journalism student group en route to President Barack Obama's inauguration celebration. The students arrived in Washington, D.C., after touring civil rights landmarks in the South and Southeast. Under the direction of professors Michael Cheers and Bob Rucker, the students collected materials using a wide array of media, and shared their experiences with the university community and beyond via the World Wide Web.
