Buy tickets now for "Beach Blanket Babylon" Monday, March 9, at the California Theatre. The SJSU Alumni Association is bringing the San Francisco-based production to San José, marking the show's 35th anniversary and its close ties to San José State. The show was founded by the late Steve Silver, an SJSU alumnus who started out staging zany Friday night performances at his Theta Chi fraternity house. The show also stars SJSU alumna Renee Lubin. Ticket sales benefit an SJSU scholarship in Silver's name. The alumni association will also host a pre-show dinner for all ticket holders, and a post-show meet-the-cast dessert for those who purchase center orchestral seating.
