San José State plans to join a group of educational institutions developing a sustainable community for education and research at Moffett Field's NASA Research Park. The University of California, Santa Cruz, and Foothill-DeAnza Community College District, in partnership with NASA Ames Research Center, announced plans for the project at a gathering Friday, March 13.

Many dignitaries attended including SJSU Associate Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research Pamela Stacks, Charles W. Davidson College of Engineering Dean Belle Wei, UCSC President George Blumenthal, Foothill-DeAnza Chancellor Martha Kanter, NASA Director Pete Worden, and U.S. representatives Anna Eshoo, Mike Honda and Zoe Lofgren.
