Starting Saturday, August 22, Symphony Silicon Valley will perform a five-concert series on San José State's Paseo de San Carlos. The concerts will feature film scores from Superman to Star Wars, a Lemony Snicket musical mystery, jazz vocalist Cleo Laine, band stand melodies and Beatles classics. Bring lawn chairs and picnics but no alcoholic beverages. Park in the West (Fourth Street) Garage. Sponsors include Target, the San Jose Redevelopment Agency and San José State.
