The H1N1 virus (swine flu) is prevalent in our community, including San José State, where suspected, probable and confirmed cases have been diagnosed. Fortunately, the impact of H1N1 is much like other mild flu viruses. Still, we all need to take common sense measures to prevent illness and spreading the infection.

San José State senior administrators, health care professionals and housing staff members are working closely with the Santa Clara County Public Health Department and U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to ensure that we are responding to the outbreak effectively.

The latest information will be posted on the SJSU flu website.
