Glen Wyatt and Eric Andersen, members of a San José State student fishing club, took the top prize at the National Guard FLW College Fishing Western Division Regional, a three-day event that ended Monday, September 21, on the California Delta. Wyatt and Anderson, who caught 17 bass weighing nearly 38 pounds total, won a boat worth $25,000 plus a $25,000 donation to the university. "This guy is the fish whisperer, man," Andersen said of Wyatt. "He tells me what the fish are talking about. I just do what he says." Twenty teams participated, including a second SJSU student duo, Alex Thiemann and Nick Burggraff.
