Amy Goodpaster Strebe, an SJSU alumna and author of "Flying for Her Country: The American and Soviet Women Military Pilots of World War II," will take part in a panel discussion on "Writing Military History" at the 2010 Burdick Military History Symposium at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 10, in Engineering 189. Strebe's book, published in 2007, helped bring attention to the Women Airforce Service Pilots of World War II. The women were honored last month, when each received a Congressional Gold Medal in Washington, D.C. Strebe's book was based on her SJSU master's thesis.
