Peter Sterlacci, senior lead for international projects in International and Extended Studies, reports that SJSU is participating with the American Council on Education Internationalization Collaborative, comprised of more than 40 institutions.

The collaborative provides a forum for faculty and administrators to share ideas and help each other in furthering international agendas. Adds Sterlacci, Provost Marshall Goodman has created an internationalization leadership team to serve as a liaison to the collaborative and to oversee efforts at SJSU. If anyone is interested in supporting this effort, contact Goodman at marshall.goodman@sjsu.edu.

On a recent visit to El Salvador, Provost Goodman, AVP of International and Extended Studies Mark Novak, and Michael Conniff, director of the Global Studies Institute, met with Francisco Flores, president of the Republic of El Salvador, and other government and university officials, to discuss various projects of mutual interest.

SJSU is planning to offer a master's degree in instructional technology in El Salvador in collaboration with the University of Don Bosco. SJSU signed a memorandum of understanding with the University of Don Bosco last month.
