For the first time, SJSU will be participating in the National Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Graduate Scholarship Competition. The scholarships will support outstanding students who are starting graduate school in fall 2004. SJSU undergraduates who will graduate in Spring 2004 (or as far back as May 1999) and who have cumulative GPAs of 3.5 or higher may consider applying for this competition. Up to two students will be nominated to represent SJSU in this program. Applications are due by noon on Friday, March 26. For faculty advisors of 2004 student organizations, mini-grants are available to provide funding for alcohol-free or drug abuse prevention programs and events for spring semester. Applications are due Friday, Feb. 20. Contact Kell Fujimoto at kfujimot@email.sjsu.edu.
