The California State University system has received the 2004 Computerworld Honors Medal of Achievement for the CMS (Common Management System) Project. The medal is presented annually to honor outstanding progress for society through the visionary use of information technology. CSU’s case study is now part of the Computerworld Honors Collection, a collection of studies from 54 countries. Archived in libraries, museums, academic and research universities around the world, the collection serves as a primary source material on information technology. Hilary Baker, the CSU’s senior director of the CMS PeopleSoft project, said, "This award acknowledges the truly significant work by all the dedicated and talented CMS teams throughout the CSU."
