Carol Beebe, facilities planner for SJSU’s planning design and construction, reports that stage one of the telecommunications upgrade project is well underway, beginning with trench work at Tower Hall. Says Beebe, "The project, which complements the work done during the upgrade in 1997, will mean better data connectivity and more ‘up-time’ for our telecom network. However, all construction brings with it some disruption." A Web site has been established to provide information about the project, including a map of the trenching.
