For the first time, SJSU is offering two courses demonstrating an innovative new method of instruction that combines cable television, the Web and classroom instruction, reports Mary Jo Gorney-Moreno, associate vice president of Academic Technology. The class sessions include video programs that are available on Comcast Cable in the San Jose Area, as well as through streaming video on the Web. Video lectures will be combined with online instructional exercises, discussion boards and other Web learning tools. The first two blended courses are in philosophy of science and stress reduction.
