Jill Steinberg, director of the Peer Mentor Program, has requested that faculty nominate students to serve as peer mentors. The Peer Mentor Program, says Steinberg, helps ease the transition to SJSU by empowering students to help each other and themselves. Peer Mentors are among the best, brightest, and most diverse SJSU students. The mentors are paid, have use of a Apple laptop, are supervised by university faculty and serve as role models in the MUSE classroom and in the Peer Mentor Center.
