According to Peter Sterlacci, director of international leadership programs, SJSU is the first American university to have partnered with Fundacion Empresarial para el Desarrollo in El Salvador on a Human Resource Management: Senior Professional certificate program. This program allows FEPADE to expand its professional development and educational programs for businesses throughout El Salvador and Central America, says Sterlacci. "El Salvador represents a new and growing SJSU market for professional development programs," he adds. Instructors from SJSU's Professional Development Center are traveling to the country each month to teach the eight courses that will be delivered through February 2005.
