Gerry Selter, dean of the College of Science, will serve as executive assistant to the president, effective Jan. 1, 2005, replacing Irene Miura who is retiring. Selter joined the SJSU faculty in 1968, and has served as dean since 1994. Contact Selter at gselter@jupiter.sjsu.edu.

Dorothy Poole, previously director of quality improvement/special assistant for the vice president for administration and finance, is now serving as assistant to the president for institutional planning. Poole has been with SJSU since 2002. Contact her at dorothy.poole@sjsu.edu.
