SJSU's Division of Student Affairs has established a Conflict and Common Ground Mediation Center, a new entity on campus aimed at helping students and student groups manage interpersonal conflict, reports Dina Medina, project coordinator for the center. The center is a result of two years of effort by SJSU, working closely with the Santa Clara County Office of Human Relations.
Currently located in Administration 218, the center will provide three services: dispute resolution, mediator certification training and workshops/presentations. According to Medina, SJSU is one of the first universities in the Bay Area to formally establish a campus mediation program. Contact her at 924-5905, dmedina@sjsu.edu.
