Andrew Lee, career consultant at the SJSU Career Center, recently presented "Success Strategies for the Beginning University Career Counselor in a Changing Economy," at the International Career Development Conference in Sacramento. Lee’s workshop, based on his research of more than 50 college and university professionals, focused on key success strategies and insights for aspiring, entry-level university career counselors. Three professors from the geology department recently presented their research at the 116th annual meeting of the Geological Society of America in Denver. Professors Ellen P. Metzger and Richard L. Sedlock presented "The South Bay Geo-Diversity Project: Bringing Earth Science to All Students." Professor Robert B. Miller presented "Structures at the Termination of a Major Contractional Belt: North Cascades, Washington."
